VICTORS, NOT VICTIMS

VICTORS, NOT VICTIMS

Main Text: Rom 8:37- In all these things, we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.

1 Corinthians 15:57- But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory thorough our Lord Jesus Christ.

As Christians, we participate in a great celebration of victory because Jesus won the victory for us on the cross over 2000 years ago. He paid sins penalty by dying on the cross and broke its power by rising from the dead. We share in His victory through faith because “as He is so are we in this world” (1 John 4:17). We can thank God “who always leads us to triumph in Christ”-2 Cor 2:14.

Victory, not defeat should be the norm in the life of a Christian. God sees every believer as being in Christ, whom He raised from the dead and seated “at His right hand in heavenly places far above all principalities and powers and might and dominion and every name that is named not only in this age but also in that which is to come”-Eph 1:20-21. As victors/conquerors through our Lord Jesus Christ, we are heirs to the imperishable inheritance reserved in heaven”-I Pet 1:4.

By trusting in Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord, we should therefore rejoice because our debt of sin has been fully paid and sin and Satan have no more dominion over us to oppress us. But we have been justified, counted as if we have never sinned and are qualified to enjoy all God’s blessings. We should rejoice because all power and authority have been given to us in Jesus name, to bind and lose, to plant and to uproot, to cast out devils, to heal the sick and raise the dead and to be victorious. Rise up today as a child of God and claim your victory in Christ

THE VICTOR’S SHOUT IS IN YOUR CAMP
