PURSUIT OF HOLINESS
Main Text: Matthew 6:33 – But seek ye first, the kingdom of God and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (KJV)
Genesis 39:9 – There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back anything from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God? (KJV)
Pursuit of holiness is a pursuit of the kingdom of God and his righteousness. It is a search, taste and quest for things that are not sinful. 1 Timothy 2:21. God is holiness personified and whosoever that claims to know and love God must seek Him, who is holy. A life of holiness gives you access to God and protect
you from the fiery darts of the enemy.
Joseph was a growing youth who pursued holiness. His desire and determination to seek and please God gained him victory over portiphar.s wife temptation. Even in the secret place, he stood out in holiness by condemning the appalling sin of adultery. But today, it is not so amongst most of our youths as it is now a trending issue. May God have mercy. How do you react to the appalling sinful acts that confront you? When you pursue holiness, you do not struggle in fulfilling your God given destiny. Finally, if you must see God, pursue holiness.
A LIFE OF HOLINESS GIVES YOU ACCESS TO GOD
Prayer Point: O Lord! Fill me with the hunger to pursue holiness.
