Appreciate People around You
Main Text: 2 Samuel 9:7 “And David said unto him, fear not: for I will surely show thee kindness for Jonathan thy Father’s sake, and will restore thee all the land of Saul thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually.”
1 Thessalonians 5:12 “And I beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you” (KJV) (see also AMP)
Sometimes we focus on ourselves so much that we forgot to say thank you for those that gave their time, advice or even a smile when we needed it. We should learn to appreciate and show gratitude to one another, Pray for and lift up those who are doing the work you are not able to do, or that has different gifts. Get to know those who labour among us (Pastors, leaders, parents, guardians, teachers etc), appreciate and respect them. Every act of gratitude makes difference. It must be expressed, not silent gratitude.
David in today’s study is a good example of a man of grateful heart. Even though Jonathan was no more; David still appreciated him. Learn to appreciate people around you because according to Tony Schwartz, “people who often find it difficult to appreciate others; are also likely to find it difficult to appreciate themselves” As you are preparing to celebrate the end of 2018, remember to say “thank you” to people who has made impact in your life, no matter who is involve. By showing appreciation, you will be lifted from obscurity to prominence and you will look good in the eyes of people.
REMEMBER TO SAY “THANK YOU” TODAY!
Prayer Point: (1) Holy Spirit, revive my heart of gratitude, to appreciate people around me in Jesus name.
