KEEP THE FIRE BURNING

JANUARY 31 THURSDAY

KEEP THE FIRE BURNING

„I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God which is a reasonable service. – Romans 12:1 (KJV)

Second Text: “And when His disciples, James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, even as Elias did? – Luke 9: 54

Apostle Paul addressed the subject of spiritual fervency in his letter to the church from our main text. To keep the fire of our devotion burning steadily,we must continue the hand work of stocking our hearts with hope, patience, steadfast prayers, generosity, hospitality and humanity.

Beloved, our hearts is the altar of God and God’s desire for you is that the fire will not go out. We must endeavor to keep the fire burning so that, we will rejoice in His name. Keep the fire alive, serve the Lord with all your heart and be faithful. The bible is very clear about having an active pursuit of Jesus Christ. The more you walk with Jesus, the greater our fire will burn.

However, the problem with Christians is that they are forever depending on someone to “fan their flame‟. As a Christian, God demands that you live a vibrant and committed Christian life every day.

You should carry the anointing of the Holy Spirit which will inspire you to do exploit to the glory of God. You are encouraged today to keep the fire burning on your altar – your heart. This is a call also for the universal church to awake to the desire of God for absolute commitment to Him.

Live your life that men may see it and glorify the Lord Jesus Christ.

Prayer Point: Abba Father may the fire of the Holy Spirit burn continually in my life, my family and the universal church in Jesus name.
