GO FOR PROFITABLE KNOWLEDGE
MAIN TEXT: PROVERB 2:6
―It is the Lord who gives wisdom, from Him come knowledge and understanding.
Hosea 4:6 – My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge;
A school of thought holds that information, understanding and skill through education. Life without positive knowledge is a burden and can lead to self deprivation and destruction.
Brethren, no matter how highly anointed, gifted or enlightened you may be, if you lack knowledge you will not be accomplished. Joshua 1:8 admonished us to always study and meditate in the book of the law (Bible) so that we would gain knowledge to prosper and have good success in life.
By knowledge, Daniel understood the number of years Israel was to suffer in Babylon, thereafter, he prayed, fasted pleaded for mercy and God answered him, Daniel 9:23. By knowledge, Hannah at Shiloh entered into a covenant with God for a son and God granted her plea. By knowledge, we understand that God’s word is power in motion to make and un-make in all situations.
Child of God, go for profitable knowledge by attending fellowship of Christian believers, studying the word of God, by indulging in prayers always, by having the company of the godly and wise.
THE MAN WITH PROFITABLE KNOWLEDGE IS A BLESSING TO HIS FRIENDS AND FAMILY
Prayer: Oh God, favour me to always have access to profitable knowledge in Jesus name.
