BE CONSISTENT TO WIN
Main text: – Philippians 3:14 – I press towards the mark for the prize of the high calling of God I Christ Jesus.
ISAIAH 41:10 – Fear thou not, for I am with thee: be not dismayed: for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee, I will uphold these with my right hand of my righteousness.
To be consistent means perseverance in becoming victorious at the end. Consistency involves doing it over and over again until the expected goal is achieved. The athletes or footballers know that before the prize is won, a lot of work must be done. This work includes discipline, practice, exercise, commitment and most times, diet.
In order to win, there is no room for second guessing – commitment and alertness are the keys. We must borrow a live from them to achieve victory. Just like Apostle Paul said from our main text, he is striving to achieve the ultimate prize without looking back, so we must press forward – No retreat, no surrender.
Do not allow distractions or colleagues deter you from the prize. There is no time to give up, give in, back up, walkaway, sit down or even think about quitting because they are no options. In 2 kings 2, the bible gave us a role model that we should follow. Elisha in this portion of the bible remained stable and consistent till he won the prize.
Challenges and obstacle must definitely come but the ability to stay consistent, determines whether you will win or not. When the desire to win the battle of your life, press on to accomplish your goal, no matter the circumstance. Fear is of the devil therefore, you must shun fear. Fear is the weapon of the enemy to make us give up and say, it is all over. It is never over till you have your victory.
