THE HOPE OF GLORY
MAIN TEXT: Colossians 1:27 Paul says, To whom God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
1Peter 5:10 – But may the Good of all grace who called us to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen and settle you.
Glory points to the great consummation in God’s eternal purpose, and is a comprehensive word of God’s glorious presence with His people. Then the hope of glory is the fulfillment of God’s promise to restore us and all creation. This hope is not a wishful thought, but the confident, expectant, joyful knowledge that we are been changed by God and will one day see Christ face to face having being conformed by His image. The hope of glory includes our resurrection and heavenly inheritance.
Christ in you, the hope of glory is definitely a mystery. But it’s a mystery that God’s wills to make know and not just a select few but to every believer in Christ. Christ in me means that he is bearing me along from within. His motive power carries you on giving your whole life a wonderful Sense of God’s presence. It is Christ in you that gives us the riches of His glory. In having Christ, you have glory, for Christ’s glory and your glory are wrapped up together.
Once you believe in Christ and confess that He is your Lord, He will immediately come into you as the Divine seed to be your hope of glory. Secondly; *Transforming your soul*(2cor 3:18)As you behold Him day by day, hour by hour and even moment by moment, Christ will transform you to His image from one degree of glory to another. Finally; *Transfiguration of your body* (Phil 3:21).He will transfigure our body making us the same as Christ in all parts of our being.
CHRIST’S PRESENCE IN US IS OUR HOPE OF GLORY, AND THIS TRUST IS FULL OF GLORIOUS RICHES.
Prayer: God grant me the grace to always remain in your presence that your glory shall abound in me.BY BISHOP NGOZI DURUEKE (HE REIGNS CHAPEL INTERNATIONAL) To send your testimony, write us: firstname.lastname@example.org.
