GIVING GIVES MORE BLESSING 1
MAIN TEXT: LUKE 6:38
Give, and it shall be given onto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaking together, and running over, shall men give unto your bosom. For with the same measure that you met withal it shall be measured to you again.
Deuteronomy 15:10 – Give generously to him, and do not let your heart be grieved when you do so. And because of this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything to which you put your hand. (BSB)
Jesus in the book of Acts 20:35 tells us that it is more rewarding to give than to receive. This is true because the giver’s hand is always on top while the receiver’s hand is below. Do not say you do not have anything to give. Every person created by God has one thing or the other to give to the other person. If you don’t have money to give, you can give your time and energy to render service in the house of God or to that sister, brother or neigbour who have need for it.
You can give your intellect. That thing which you know, you can share the knowledge with others so that they will not remain in ignorance. You can give your time to go for evangelism to win souls to the kingdom of God and depopulate the kingdom of darkness. You can give out those items you don’t use anymore. It could be auto-mobile, electronics, clothing or furniture, it can be good advise you give to someone to better his or her life etc.
Giving is a thing of the mind. When you have Christ you know you have everything and what you have is meant to bless others. The thought of helping or putting a smile on someone’s face is rewarding enough.
GIVING IS ALL ABOUT OTHERS NOT YOURSELF
