MAINTAIN A SOUND MIND

Main Text: 2 Timothy 1:7 – For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Romans 12:2 – And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Sound mind means to be mentally calm and self-confident in your actions irrespective of the circumstances. One major thing that disrupts a sound mind is fear, any kind of fear is destructive that’s why the Bible in Revelation 21:8 says that the fearful shall have their part in the lake of fire.

The Bible reminds us in 2 Timothy 1: 7 that we have the permanent, indwelling Holy Spirit of God, Who has gifted us and empowered us with all that we need for life and godliness, no matter how difficult or dangerous life in this world may become. When you’re following God’s plan for your life, it can be easy to become afraid.

God often asks us to do things that feel bigger than we are and are often out of our comfort zone. However, anyone that follows the plan of God for his life enjoys a stress free life. Fear is a major tool the enemy uses to stop the children of God. He knows that if he can get us afraid he can keep us from doing great things for God. He used fear to intimidate the ten (10) spies sent along with Joshua and Caleb to spy the city.

However, Joshua and Caleb knew the mind of God and overcame the fear with courage because they knew that it was the mind of God for them to take over the city.Whatever your fear looks like, know that it’s not from God. God hasn’t given you fear, so determine today to live fearlessly but godly. This is one of the ways you can maintain a sound mind in this chaotic world

GOD’S WORD DECLARES THAT YOU HAVE BEEN GIVEN A SOUND MIND THAT WORKS PERFECTLY EVEN IN THE CRAZIEST AND MOST DIFFICULT SITUATIONS.

Prayer – Father, give me the grace to maintain a sound mind always.
