THE POWER OF PERSONAL TESTIMONY
Main Text: Psalm 66:16 – “Come and listen all you who fear God. Let me tell you what He has done for me”
Revelation 12:11- They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony:
God has done amazing works in the course of history like parting the seas etc, and the Bible is wholly a book of testimonies of eye witnesses of the activities of our Lord Jesus Christ of what He did over 2000 years ago. He also does amazing works in each of our personal lives, giving us hope in the midst of suffering, giving us the Holy Spirit to understand His Word and providing for our daily needs.
In the 4th Chapter of John’s gospel, we saw what happened when the Samaritan woman encountered Jesus. She left her water pot, went to town and testified “come see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the messiah” As a result many Samaritans believed on Jesus Christ.
When we share with others our personal experiences of Gods work in our lives we are giving something of much greater value than an endorsement of a particular miracle. We are acknowledging God’s goodness and encouraging one another along the journey of life.
DON’T CEASE IN GIVING GOD PRAISE ESPECIALLY PUBLICLY
Prayer – Father, help us to declare the many wonderful ways, you have manifested in our life and help doubters and unbelievers to come to faith.
