DON’T LOSE YOUR PRAISE

Main text: Job 1: 20-22 – Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord. In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.

Psalm 34:1 – I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

It’s easier to give God praise in the good times when all is going as planned. When life happens will the praise that was always on your lips still be there or will it be replaced by murmuring and complaining.
When you are going through afflictions that the devil sent to break or discourage you and you rise above it with your praise intact, it shows that you trust God and it won’t take long the storm will pass.

Job lost everything in a day and gained sickness, yet he worshiped God. He recognized that regardless, God is still God and his present circumstance did not change him from being a faithful and good God. Job said, ‘though He slays me, yet will I trust him’. That was a great resolve that helped him through the storm without thinking of suicide or cursing God.
Praise is a sacrifice, Hebrews 13:15 says let us offer through Jesus a continual sacrifice of praise to God, proclaiming our allegiance to his name. The only qualification to be a worhipper is that you have breath. The Bible says in Psalms 150:6 “Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord.”

Praising God comes with lots of benefits. Praise moves your focus from the problem to God. It helps you remember his promises and all he has spoken concerning you. When you lay down the weight of your burden at his feet, it expels all forms of anxiety
Peradventure you lost your praise due to whatever reason, I pray God gives you beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, and the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness in Jesus Name.

WHATEVER HAPPENS NEVER LOSE YOUR PRAISE AS IT IS YOUR WEAPON.

Prayer: Father, let your praise continually be in my mouth in Jesus Name.
