I WILL NOT LET YOU GO

2 Kings 2:2b – And Elisha said, As Jehovah liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Beth-el.

Genesis 32:26 – And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.

They that know God and trust him must live by faith – Hebrews 11:6. Little wonder, father Abraham was not only blessed but made the father of all nations because of his faith and trust in God. the text above presents a believer as a sincere follower who is determined by faith to make heaven.

In Ruth 1:16, we observe the deep devotion and uncommon loyalty of a young girl from Moab who showed her faith and trust in the God of the Israelite, she swore to follow her mother inlaw; Naomi as a widow to her country at the death of her husband. God so blessed her that she became the mother of Obed who became the father of Jesse, and Jesse gave birth to King David through this same family tree, Jesus Christ was born to save the world from sin and condemnation.

Elisha was devoted to God and held tight to Prophet Elijah for direction and God blessed him – 2 Kings 2:15. Child of God, do not take things for granted else you lose your grip. That was what happened to Gehazi who had the curse of leprosy which affected his generations – 2 Kings 5:27. On the hand, Jacob was very mindful and focused to hold tight when he wrestled with God’s angel that brought many blessings to him and God gave him the name – Israel.

THE BLESSINGS OF GOD ARE WITH YOU IF YOU CAN HOLD ON HIM FIRMLY

PRAYER – I promise never to worship another god but the Almighty God, oh Lord let your worshippers blessings remain on me in Jesus name.
