DAILY EXAMINE YOUR CONSCIENCE
MAIN TEXT: 1 Corinthians 11:28 – But a man must examine himself, and in so doing he is to eat of the bread and drink of the cup.
Psalm 4:4 – Tremble, and do not sin; Meditate in your heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.
Learn to subject your conscience to the truth of God and the teaching of Scripture. As you do that, your conscience will be more clearly focused and better able to give you reliable feedback.
With a trustworthy conscience, you have a powerful aid to spiritual growth and stability. With a clear conscience, you live in an abundance of freedom and joy.
In any event, for Christians, it is feasible to so dull our inner voice, twist our still, small voice, that we numb ourselves to the necessities around us, unfairness, dogmatism, oppression, need. In case we are to allow our inner voice to direct us, we should ensure that the spirit inside us is a similar Spirit of God promised by Jesus. The Spirit will consistently guide us toward the Master – Jesus Christ, direct us as indicated by God’s Promise, empower us to observer to the adoration for God.
We should test the internal voice, our inward promptings, by the outside Word. We have been guaranteed an Advisor, Supporter and Guide. God’s Spirit won’t ever go against God’s Promise. God’s Spirit will consistently extol God and be consistent with Christ.
A PURE CONSCIENCE IS A DIVINE BLESSING TO THE BEARER
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, search my heart and purify me in your mercy. Let me bear a pure and lively conscience as I live in Jesus’ name. Amen
