LEAD WELL
Main Text: Exodus 3:10 – Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt.
1 Kings 3:11-12 – And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment; Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.
Leadership is a call to exercise authority. Whoever God calls, He equips. Any leadership without divine call mingles with struggle and uncertainty. Leadership cuts through all facets of life. For you to lead well, you must have intimacy with God, be Spirit driven and passionate about that purpose for which you were called to lead, be a person of integrity and be committed to making disciples.
If God has called you to lead in any position, it is a call to serve. God is a faithful rewarder of those who diligently and faithfully serve Him. He expects us to make Him and His purpose our topmost priority and then he blesses us. God doesn’t need us for anything but we need Him for everything.
Our service to God adds nothing to Him but adds everything to us. He is not looking for who to use but who to bless. Solomon asked for wisdom from God to lead His people and it was granted him because, he made God’s priority first before his personal interest.
All through his reign as King, he enjoyed peace, wealth and honour. May God grant you leadership free from troubles in your life, in Jesus name, Amen.
