GOD SEARCHES THE HEART
Main text: Jeremiah 17:10 – I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways and according to the fruit of his doing.
Psalm 139:23 – Search me o God, and know my heart, try me and know my thoughts.
The Bible says in Jeremiah 17:9 that the heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked who can know it. The human heart is very complex to understand, a friend may be laughing with you but in his/her heart wishes you evil. Every day when you surf the internet or on news, you see and hear of a lot of evil perpetrated by human beings against human.
I read on the net of how a man killed his wife of many years and mother of his kids in other to inherit her wealth, he poisoned her out of greed and the poor woman loved and trusted the husband so much that she could never have thought or imagined in her widest dream that her husband could ever conceive such evil and even execute such an evil plan against her life.
You see two business partners, one of them will have a pure and genuine heart but his partner will be plotting a way to cheat him or if it means eliminating him, he will. The fraudster defrauds its victims by impersonating a top official and selling a business idea to its victim with the sole aim of deceiving and defrauding him/her of his/her hard earned money, such innocent victims die from the shock.
All these evil are conceived in the heart and their victims are unaware of such evil but only God Almighty sees the heart of man and rewards him according to his doing.
The evil that men do lives with them.
