FEBRUARY 16 SATURDAY
Topic: DISCERNING THE WORKS OF SATAN
Main Text: 1 Corinthians 12:10 – to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits.
And he asked him, what is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many – Mark 5:9 (KJV).
Discerning of spirits is a gift from God. It is very important for every child of God to possess this spiritual ability to discern spirits. The absence of this gift in the present day has ruined a lot of churches and people of God.
Unfortunately, we have stories of witches mixing with church workers for years and nobody will find out until they are done with their wicked assignments in the church. This gift helps the Christian to know which spirit is in operation, whether of God or Satan.
Jesus Christ at a point rebuked the devil that spoke from Peter and He commanded the devil to get behind Him. It was with the gift of discernment of spirit that Paul was able to identify the demon that was speaking through the girl. Every advice should be weighed and judged by the help of the Holy Spirit.
There are those who are working with religious spirits and not the spirit of Christ. By their fruits we shall know them is one of the basic standard of knowing which spirit that is in operation. In this last day, it is expedient to receive this gift so that you will not work into frustration and calamities.
Praying to the Holy Spirit in holiness for the gift of discerning of spirit. God is willing to give this gift to those that taste for it for he gives to all men willingly when you taste for it.
He wants you to be in possession of this gift so that the devil will not have his foothold on your life. God also wants you to possess this gift so that you can be in charge of your life situations and not run into disaster.
GOD IS WILLING TO GIVE THIS GIFT TO YOU WHEN YOU TASTE FOR IT AND ASK IT IN PRAYERS.
