THE GLORIOUS HOME
Main Text: John 14:2 – In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
Hebrews 11:10 – For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
Home being a place where you long for and rush to after a day’s job is used to describe our destination after this life. After the pains, sorrows, toils, difficulties and pleasures so to say in this time. There is a home being prepared for us, where we’ll rest from all sufferings. It is a glorious home. A place of rest; our heavenly dwelling; the place of abode of the Almighty God; a place where we are to dwell and spend eternity.
This home is for the redeemed of the Lord, those who lived and died in the Lord Jesus Christ with God as the head of the family. John 14:3 thus says:
“And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye maybe also”,
We are reminded today that heaven is real. Are you preparing to be there? God does not lie; He told us that He has gone to prepare a place for us. So, are you prepared or getting ready to be there?
It is one place you can never claim your way into. You walk and work yourself into it. As you get ready, you must be pure according to God’s standard and not yours. God himself is the designer and builder of that great city. So, you can imagine how perfect and glorious the architectural structure would be.
HEAVEN IS A PREPARED PLACE FOR A PREPARED PEOPLE.
Prayer: Holy Spirit please direct and build me never to miss heaven in Jesus name. Amen
