MY LIVING WATER DAILY DEVOTIONAL
WEDNESDAY JANUARY 5, 2022
MAIN TEXT: Proverbs 12:24 – The hand of the diligent will rule, while the slothful will be put to forced labor.
Proverbs 10:4 – He becomes poor who works with a slack and idle hand, but the hand of the diligent makes rich.
Do you always try to give your best on the job? Do you always strive to give your best at home? What about school? The Bible tells us, “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might” (Ecclesiastes 9:10). Doing the right thing is always the right thing to do and yields great benefits.
Jesus’ disciples were diligent. If not, then Christ would not have chosen them. In the same way, Christians today are not to be lazy. Whenever as possible, we must not be a burden to others, but rather, through the fruits of our labor, we become a blessing to them.
When God created Adam, he charged him to keep and tend the garden of Eden. God has called everyone to a life of diligence.
DILIGENCE PAYS WELL
PRAYER: Lord Jesus Christ, give me the right energy physically and mentally to be fully productive in my work. Amen.
