BECOME A BETTER YOU

MAIN TEXT: 2 CORINTHIANS 6:17
“Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you”.

JEREMIAH 29:13 “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”

Beloved of God, for you to be really redeemed of the Lord, you must adopt a new way of living.
One thing that can come upon a new creature in Christ is the departure from curses to blessings.

Apostle Paul encourages us to be transformed rather than being conformed to this world of sin (Romans 12:1-2). The truth of the matter is that only those who are in Christ can experience the new things God promises us in His word.
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature, old things are passed away, behold all things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).

When a person accepts Jesus as His or Her Lord and Saviour, such a person automatically become dead to the old life, every link with the old life is cut off. Every new creature in Christ submits to His Lordship.
From the point of rebirth, we begin to hunger for righteousness by pursuing purity, honesty, justice, love, humility and service to humanity. It starts from a new mind. You immediately begin to think differently from the old ways to such an extent that your new behavior and a better you may seem strange, even to you. This new life in Christ comes with the assurance of abundant life here on earth and even in heaven.

THE LIFE THAT IS TRANSFORMED BY CHRIST STANDS OUT

PRAYER: Father, as a new creature in Christ, please help me to always live according to your word in Jesus Name. Amen.

PRECIOUS IN GOD’S SIGHT

Precious in God’s Sight

Main Text: Isaiah 13:12 (KJV) “I will make a man more precious than fine gold, even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir”.

Psalms 139:14 -I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

We are made and created in the image of God, and after his likeness. (Genesis 1:26). This makes us precious in God’s sight, we are not ordinary beings, we are peculiar, precious and a chosen generation (2Peter 2:9). The demand of God upon us is to live pleasing, and godly lives unto God. Sin should be far from us because God hates sin.

The standard of God cannot be compromised because we are precious in his sight, no rather much is expected of us to live above sin by the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus is precious in God’s sight and if we are followers and disciples of Jesus Christ, we are equally precious in God’s sight; as we do the work of God which is soul winning through evangelism, and doing all manner of good works that will enhance the kingdom of God and depopulate hell, by so doing, we will remain ever precious in God’s sight.

When you have a strong conviction that you are precious in God’s sight, you will value yourself more.

Avoid stains of sin to remain precious.

Prayer Point: Oh! God, give me the grace to live a holy life in order to remain precious in your sight in Jesus Name.
