BECOME A BETTER YOU

MAIN TEXT: 2 CORINTHIANS 6:17
“Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you”.

JEREMIAH 29:13 “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”

Beloved of God, for you to be really redeemed of the Lord, you must adopt a new way of living.
One thing that can come upon a new creature in Christ is the departure from curses to blessings.

Apostle Paul encourages us to be transformed rather than being conformed to this world of sin (Romans 12:1-2). The truth of the matter is that only those who are in Christ can experience the new things God promises us in His word.
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature, old things are passed away, behold all things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).

When a person accepts Jesus as His or Her Lord and Saviour, such a person automatically become dead to the old life, every link with the old life is cut off. Every new creature in Christ submits to His Lordship.
From the point of rebirth, we begin to hunger for righteousness by pursuing purity, honesty, justice, love, humility and service to humanity. It starts from a new mind. You immediately begin to think differently from the old ways to such an extent that your new behavior and a better you may seem strange, even to you. This new life in Christ comes with the assurance of abundant life here on earth and even in heaven.

THE LIFE THAT IS TRANSFORMED BY CHRIST STANDS OUT

PRAYER: Father, as a new creature in Christ, please help me to always live according to your word in Jesus Name. Amen.

IS PATIENCE OUTDATED?

Is Patience Outdated ?

Main Text: Romans 2:7 (KJV) “To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life”.

Job 14:14 – If someone dies, will they live again? All the days of my hard service, I will wait for my renewal to come.

Everybody seem to be so much in a hurry in our time, we hear people say we are in a jet age meaning age of speed. The virtue of patience is gradually diminishing by the day.

Tolerance is a hard virtue to find even among believers or Christians these days. That is why we see a lot of break away from churches, divorce among spouses, separation among close friends and associates etc. killings and war are what we hear everyday. Why? Lack of patience. Forebearing one another, tolerating one another is no longer exhibited.

At the slightest provocation you see man’s inhumanity to man. Reason is lack of patience. Patience is a great virtue every child of God should pray for. Many have met their untimely death due to lack of patience. Get rich quick syndrome, inability to wait for God’s timing to bless us etc. we need the virtue of patience, it is not outdated.

Patience remains a strong virtue that takes one to his divine destination and he enjoys the blessings of his destiny. A man that lacks patience cannot walk with God. It is impossible.
May we wait on God’s timing.
Prayer Point: Oh! God, take away the Spirit of impatience in me in Jesus Name.
