JESUS WANTS TO HELP YOU
MAIN TEXT: Matthew 7:21 Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
Sin blinds you to the truth. It seems so appealing at first, but then suddenly you realize that you’re trapped. You may be getting away with something right now, but it will catch up with you in due time. Sin blinds you, sin finds you, and sin grinds you—that’s what sin can do.
The might of sin destroys everything it touches. We often see what, we think, are little sins in our life and overlook them. We might try to manage them. Furthermore, we may pretend they aren’t even there. In reality, there’s no such thing as a little sin, and soon what seems like a small thing becomes a big thing in our hearts.
If you cannot help yourself anymore, turn to Jesus Christ to deliver you. Allow Him to find you out before that sin finds you out. Sacrifice the pleasures of that sin and choose the salvation of your soul. When you think you are managing sin, the reverse is the reality. Satan is the loser, don’t make him win.
JESUS CHRIST SAVES, LET HIM INTO YOUR HEART
PRAYER: Jesus, have mercy on me and deliver me from the yoke of sin and its destruction. Give me the Spirit of righteousness. Amen
