INTEGRITY

INTEGRITY

MAIN TEXT: PROVERBS 11:3

“The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them”.

Luke 6:31- Do to others as you would have them do to you.

The word integrity is derived from the word integer, a mathematical term for a whole number as opposed to a fraction. When we walk in integrity, it means we are expected to tell the truth and not just a fraction of it.

Why do we slant the truth, embellish it, and fell half truth, sometimes it’s for financial gain, other times it is for social advantage. Sometimes it’s to hide our actions, other times it is to avail ourselves of certain benefits.

Jacob whose name meant ‘Surplanter” or “Trickster” paid daily after he conspired to steal Esau’s birth right with his mother. He spent fourteen years as a fugitive working for his father in-law who was an even bigger, and a better cheat than Jacob. In despair Jacob, had an encounter with God that transformed his life for God.

God expects us to work with integrity, cutting corners, in order to acquire material wealth does not pay at the long run. Jesus worked with integrity of purpose. Joseph, Samuel, Moses and Daniel, to mention but a few, all worked with integrity of heart and purpose in their service unto God. We can be numbered too among the saint.

LET INTEGRITY GUIDE YOUR ACTIONS TODAY.

Prayer point- Oh God Let my life be the expression of your holiness in Jesus name
