MAIN TEXT: 2 PETER 3:13
“But in keeping with His promise we are looking forward to new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness.
And keep your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not the things on the earth.
Yesterday is gone. Today, is already here and should be handled carefully and wisely because it will determine what or how tomorrow will be. Then tomorrow which everyone looks forward to see is ahead.
In view of the foregoing therefore, you should regret the mistake(s) you made yesterday: what you ought to do that you did not do and what you ought not to do which you did that may have brought pain to you or to others. Rather, concentrate on amending them today by being truly sorry for the wrongs of yesterday, resolve never to go back to them again then put on the whole armor of God (Eph 6:11-17), walk in the Spirit and you will not fulfil the lust of the flesh. You must not allow the devil to stop you from preparing to meet your creator some day.
Jesus Christ our Saviour told us that He has gone to prepare a place for us, a city which hath foundation whose architect and builder is God. This place is the new heaven and the new earth. Jesus made us to understand that in this city (His father’s house) there are many mansions and a crown of glory with star(s) decorating it for all who will believe in Him.
DON’T LOOK BACK, LOOK FORWARD AND RECEIVE GLORY AND HONOUR
