THE NAME OF JESUS
MAIN TEXT: PHIL. 2:9-10
“Wherefore, God also hath highly exalted Him and given Him a name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven and things on earth, and things under the earth”.
Acts 4:12. – “Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is none other name under heaven, given among men, whereby we must be saved”.
Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17). The gospel, the good news is the good news of Jesus. He is the good news. We have faith in Him, not only in what He said or doctrine about Him; He is our great Father and friend. We must have faith in Him. He stretched out His hand to save, comfort and encourage us. When we believe in His name, we live in Him, inside of all He did.
Everything is in Him. He is the beginning and ending. His name Jesus Christ brings millions of blessings. “There is no other name under Heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). Jesus is the “express image” of God. He is the radiance of God’s glory. Beloved of God, you have to build your faith in the name of Jesus. When we have faith in Him, we receive from Him everlasting interaction, eternal communion, ceaseless love and fellowship radiating love throughout all creation.
When we believe in the name Jesus, we believe all that is in it. Jesus means savior, salvation. Whatever you do, whether in words or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him (Colossians 3:17). We ask it in the name of Jesus. We ourselves are in His name and speak from that wonderful position.
THERE IS POWER IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST. USE IT
