SERVE GOD BETTER

SERVE GOD BETTER
MAIN TEXT: PHILIPPIANS 3:14
“I press toward the mark for the price of high calling of God in Christ Jesus”.

Philippians 2:12.-  “Wherefore, my beloved as ye have always obeyed not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence work out your own salvation with fear and trembling”.

In this scripture, Apostle Paul was used as a case study to teach us how to continue our Christian race. We should try to change our way or mode of worshipping God; we have to put more effort where necessary. Paul was still focused in his service and expected more exploits to move forward no matter the obstacle he was going through. He never gave up in serving God, rather he encouraged himself in all situations, having hope for the prize of the high calling.
Christianity is a lifestyle. The way we worship God still needs more commitment and zeal. Many people withdraw from their faith when faced with trials and they become spiritually weak. It is not the time to give up rather strive and work hard as to maintain and sustain your Christian life. You can also change your pattern this year for a better worship and position in the Lord’s vineyard. Even at this present time of poor economy in the country, that should not make us deviate from faith but we should lay them aside and move on till we reach to our destination.

Serving God does not require excuses but seriousness and constant reading of the scripture for spiritual growth.
