BE A FAITHFUL STEWARD

BE A FAITHFUL STEWARD

MAIN TEXT: 1 Corinthians 4:2 (KJV)

“Moreover it is required in stewards that a man be found faithful.

Matthew. 25:21(KJV) – His Lord said unto him, well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the Joy of the Lord.

The word of God made us to understand that someone who is faithful with little thing will be faithful with much. So if we are honest and do the right thing when no one is looking or watching us, we will be able to be trusted when people are watching. Beloved, the message from the bible is that as faithful steward, He has entrusted you with things down here on earth and it is your responsibility to do something good with them. A faithful steward should realize that God owns all. God created the air we breathe, the sun, earth and plants etc. God is the one that gave you brain to think; He placed different gifts and skills in each of us and gave us our unique personalities.

A faithful steward can only serve one master. Matthew 6:24 says; “No man serves two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon”? (KJV) Beloved, to be a faithful steward, you have a responsibility to use what you have been given wisely just like in the parable of the talents. It is up to you to decide how you will use what you have been given. You can choose to bury it like the lazy stewards or you can make profits from what you have been given like the “faithful” stewards. There are great blessings and rewards in being a faithful steward.

PROVE YOURSELF FAITHFUL IN SMALL THINGS AND GAIN BIGGER THINGS.

PRAYER POINT: My father, my father, help me to be a faithful steward.
