POWER OF WISDOM
MAIN TEXT: PROVERB 8:15-16 (KJV)
“By me Kings reign, and princes decree justice. By me princes rule and nobles, even all the Judges of the earth”.
Proverbs 16:16- How much better to get wisdom than gold, to get insight rather than silver.
Power is defined as the ability or capacity to do something or act in a particular way. The power could be an influence to direct or influence to change the behaviour of others or the course of events. Wisdom is defined as the quality of having experience, knowledge and good judgment that is, the quality of being wise.
From our text, wisdom is addressing the reader and explains how needful it is to acquire it. Wisdom can help you navigate through situations. Do you seek wisdom, ask of the Lord to furnish you with wisdom. Solomon with the power of wisdom was able to save the life of a new born in the bible.
God didn’t create the universe brick by brick but He spoke it into existence with a single word. So imagine your possibilities when he gives you words of wisdom. First you must learn to recognize God’s voice and it could take time. The first few times God called Samuel, he thought it was Eli the High Priest talking to him, but he kept listening, and eventually he became aware of God’s voice (1 Samuel 3:4-10).
May the power of God’s wisdom guide our thoughts, actions, and all that we do for God’s name to be glorified.
Wisdom excels a man in all that he does and it is this godly wisdom that gave Joseph great relevance even in the prison.
