PRAYING GOD’S WILL

PRAYING GOD’S WILL

MAIN TEXT: ROMANS 8:27 (KJV)

“And he that searcheth the heart knoweth what is in the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God”.

1JOHN 5:14 – This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, Hears us.

Sometimes we pray outside of God’s will but it is a part of the Holy Spirit’s job is to change our minds and not convincing God to give us what we want. We do not always know how to pray but we may know what to pray. It is the work of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer. If the Holy Spirit does the intercession for us (pray to God on our behalf) then, we will learn what God’s will is.

And we can learn that by studying God’s word. We must practice meditation on the scriptures if our prayers must hit the mark. Just as a good cook allows a stew to simmer, we need to ‘marinate’ our minds with the scriptures so that it becomes a part of us.

Situations in your life will start to change for the good and your prayer life will improve when you allow the Holy Spirit to take over with groaning that cannot be uttered (Romans 8:26).

We also need to be calm in the spirit so that the Holy Spirit will really succeed to pray through us because if we are disturbed in the spirit, we will struggle to yield to Him.

LET THE HOLY SPIRIT GUIDE YOUR PRAYERS HENCEFORTH.

Prayer Point: Oh Lord, guide me by your Spirit to pray aright in Jesus name.
