ARISE AND SHINE
MAIN TEXT: ISA 60:1 (KJV)
Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee”.
Isaiah 60:3
And the gentiles shall come to thy light and Kings to the brightness of thy rising.
Every child of God is expected to shine because the glory of our God is risen upon us. So we should be a shining light wherever we go. In our various places of work, there should be a brightness of light in us to differentiate from our colleagues, in our academic pursuit we should excel because we are children of light.
Matthew 5:14 says ye are the light of the world; a city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. As children of God, we should behave like our senior brother Jesus Christ, when he was on earth, He went about doing good, so also wherever we go men should see our Father which is in heaven manifesting in us. Our life styles as children of light can draw unbelievers to the light and we can win souls to the body of Christ by our works. The apostles were called Christian in Antioch because they were like Christ.
SHINE BRIGHTLY EVERY DAY.
PRAYER POINT: Oh Lord, help me to shine your light daily. Distinguish me in this world.
