SPIRIT FILLED LIFE
MAIN TEXT: ROMANS 8:5
For they that are after the flesh do- mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the spirit, the things of the Spirit.
Romans 8:13- For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die but if ye through the spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
We cannot have the life of God except we carry the Holy Spirit in us. The life of God is with the spirit of God. This life of God in the Holy Spirit is what makes the difference between a Christian and the unbelievers. The Holy Spirit life is what we need to be true Christians. Jesus Christ spoke this; John 14:16 “And I will pray the father and he shall give you another comforter, that he may abide with you forever.
The life we are actually talking about is not the life of men but the life of God. The life that knows no sin nor shame.
Anybody who is after fleshly desires cannot have the life of the Spirit of God. The life of the Spirit is unique and it is of its class. Except the Holy Spirit gives you that life, nobody can attain to such. Paul warned us that if we live according to the flesh, that death is inevitable.
The Spirit of God has nothing to do with unrighteousness and the partisan spirit present in the gatherings of so many people is not godly. The life of a Christian should express the life of God that carries peace, Joy, light, power and Holiness.
AIM FOR THIS SPIRIT FILLED LIFE, IT IS WHAT MAKES THE DIFFERENCE
PRAYER POINT-Spirit of the living God come afresh upon me and manifest through me. Show yourself to the world in my life.
