VALUE FAMILY TIME

There is time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven: (NIV)
PROVERBS 22: 6 Direct your children unto the right path, and when they are older they will not leave it (NLT).
A family is a group of people who are closely related to each other either by blood, marriage or adoption. It could be a nuclear, extended or God’s family. God is interested in family and the quality time spent with each other. To demonstrate this, he created Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden and taught them to value family time. God also taught them that no matter how busy or pleasurable heaven was or how busy Adam and Eve were in the garden, that it was very important for them to come together in the cool evening to fellowship together as a family.
God valued this time and kept it. Therefore, the relationship in our family units is very important. There must be cordial relationship amongst members for them to value the time they spend together. Our second text says, direct your children on the way they should that when they grow they will not leave it.
Our second text says ‘there is time for everything. A time to look for money to take care of the family, a time to teach the right family values, a time to share inspiration and aspirations, a time to reprove, and a time to share joy and sad moments. These things cannot be achieved if you are not there to teach and instruct as parents or you are not available to be instructed or thought the right values as a child. You must not be too busy that you cannot have time for your family. What you value, you preserve, and treasure.
Become a member of God’s family and he will always be with you. The question is, how do you regard the time you are supposed to be with God? You must build your family on love for God.

Prayer point: Oh Lord bind my family with the cord of love and help us to value our time with you and one another. Prosper my family and let us be in your will.
