HIS SUFFICIENT GRACE
MAIN TEXT: EPHESIANS 4:7
But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift.
2 Corinthians 8:9- For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich.
The great exchange that took place between the Holy Jesus and Barabbas; the notorious criminal and a murder, was an express picture of our today’s inside text. You are a Barabbas and I am a Barabbas. See Luke 23:18-25. Jesus demonstrated his unfailing love towards us in that Romans 5:8. He took our place.
God revealed this grace that we obtained when He assured Apostle Paul of His sufficient grace in 2 Corinthians 12:8-18. Paul expressed this dependence on the grace of Jesus when he wrote about thorn in his flesh, he pleaded three times for it to be removed but God said to him “My grace is sufficient for you”.
Do you know that, Barabbas came to the end of his rope in life but sufficient grace intervened? Like Barabbas, you may be facing the end of your rope right now. It could be with a relationship, or a health, you may even wonder if you can take one more breath. Apostle Paul says that his weakness actually makes him glad! Wonderful! Can one actually have delight in suffering or persecution? Grace makes it possible! According to Aristotle, “The ideal man bears the accident of life with dignity and grace, making the best of circumstances”.
Beloved in this 2018, be assured that God is here to supply you with as much grace as you need for every situation you face.
