BLESSING IN OBEDIENCE

BLESSING IN OBEDIENCE

Main text: Deuteronomy 5:33- Walk in obedience to all that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess.

Job 36:11 (NKJV)–if they obey and serve Him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasure.

When you submit or align your desires to the will of God in obedience, there is always a blessing from God. Obedience to the instructions of God is what is demanded of us to be blessed by Him. From the main text, we have been admonished that when we obey God totally, our days shall be prosperous. We should avoid the mistake of doing a partial (half measure) obedience that cost King Saul his throne as the King of Israel (1 Samuel 15:22). When we hear the instructions of God concerning a matter, let us avoid rationalizing it in our minds by asking the questions of how, why and for what purpose. God demands that we align our will, desires and goals to His will over our lives. Remember, God is the Alpha and Omega and therefore has a good reason for you. For the thought He has for you is of good and not of evil, to give us a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11, NKJV).

You are encouraged to obey the word of the Lord to the latter because there are blessings to follow thereafter. Abraham obeyed God even in the most difficult time of his life and God rewarded him with a son; Isaac. What has God instructed you to do? Have you been obedient to God’s word (the Bible) by serving God in sincerity? If yes, expect a bountiful harvest of blessings like the dews of heaven on your life.

FOR EVERY ACT OF OBEDIENCE THERE IS A CORRESPONDING BLESSING.

Prayer Point: Lord, help me recognize your plan for my life that I may obey you to the latter
