THY WILL BE DONE

THY WILL BE DONE

Main text: Matthew 6:10 Thy kingdom come, thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

Luke 22:42: Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.

God’s divine intention for creating mankind is for us to become members of His family and live with Him forever. To achieve this, it takes a process. Humans are created physically and are expected to hear and respond to God’s instructions in order to arrive at their glorious destiny. God knows the very best for us. He knows the end from the beginning (Ps 115:3) and that is why must follow his leading and His will for us and that is the only way to enjoy life (Jer. 29:11).

In Matthew 26:42, we see that Jesus would have preferred not to have suffered as He did, but He yielded to God’s will and that ultimately brought Him glory and honor. The road to doing God’s will may not be easy. Going by God’s choice for your life may be very tough and hard. But God can never give us more than we can bear. For whatever assignment He gives us, he makes provision and gives His grace and all the support we need. Our problem is often that we choose to obey in part rather than in full. When there is absolute surrender and obedience to God’s will and purpose, it always usually ends in victory and praise.

What has God been calling and nudging you to do? What is that burden He has placed on you that you are still arguing whether or not to obey? If only you will surrender fully to his will, then will you find joy, peace and prosperity for your life.

I AM THY SERVANT TO DO THY WILL.

Prayer Point: Oh Lord, today I surrender absolutely to your will for my life.
