NEVER GIVE UP.

NEVER GIVE UP.

Main Text:  2 Corinthians 4:15-17

All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God. Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.

2 Chronicles 15:7

But you take courage! Do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded.

The difference between steadfast people and unsteady people is that unsteady people give up at the first sign of difficulty. Steadfast people keep on keeping on. Steadfast people are determined. Steadfast people are diligent. Steadfast people are persistent. Steadfast people don’t know how to quit. Do you know how a little acorn becomes an oak tree? An oak tree is just an acorn that refused to give up. Living by faith i.e “things not seen” can be hard (Hebrews 11:1). Jesus reminds us: “the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few” (Matthew 7:14). But the way has always been hard, and you are not alone in the difficulty. You are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses who have passed this way ahead of you (Hebrews 12:1). Many have suffered far more and have remained faithful. Remember them and imitate their faith (Hebrews 13:7).

In all, let us remember Our Lord (2 Timothy 2:8). Jesus knows and understands all we are going through (Hebrews 12:3). So, look to Jesus (Hebrews 12:2), “fight the good fight of the faith” (1 Timothy 6:12), and finish your race (2 Timothy 4:7). When we have done the will of God we will receive what is promised: his great and eternal reward (Hebrews 10:35-36). He is always on time.

IF THOU FAINT IN THE DAY OF ADVERSITY, THY STRENGTH IS SMALL.

Prayer Point: Lord engrace me afresh to endure to the end and never failing you.
