The Mind of Christ
Main text: Philippians 2:5
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.
1 Corinthians 2:16 – For who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.
You can have exactly the same mind that Christ Jesus had, which means you will think Christ’s
thoughts. It is not possible for the unsaved man to think like Christ. The natural man thinks according to a man. That is why he doesn’t like the Bible. He is not capable of thinking like Christ until he is born again. When we are saved, God gives us His life, and His mind and so we manifest Christ. What do people see when they see us as Christians? Do they see Christ? II Corinthians 4:11, “That the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.” God’s plan is that Christ may be manifested in our mortal bodies, but He can’t do that if we don’t think like Him. We can’t think like Him unless we have His mind. our attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus, Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death even death on a cross! That is the mind of Christ. That is the mind possible for the followers of Christ.
LET THIS MIND BE IN YOU WHICH WAS ALSO IN CHRIST JESUS.
