THE RIGHT FOUNDATION
MAIN TEXT: 1 CORINTHIANS 3:11
For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 3:14 – If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
The right foundation makes the difference between something that lasts and something temporary. Jesus knew that true foundations are invisible; they are vitally important to the strength and stability of the house. Matthew 7:24-25 says, “Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock, and the rain descended and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat upon that house and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock”.
Beloved, Jesus knows your heart that you will be tempted to take the easy way. Other foundations may be quicker and easier, but building your life on the right foundation is hardwork but it is profitable to the end, know that God’s truth is the only bedrock worth building on. When storm (sickness, economic melt-down, unemployment etc) of life hit the people built on the right foundation which is Jesus, they will stand firm. As a child of God, your hope should be built on nothingless, but Jesus Christ your righteousness, the right foundation.
THE SOLID ROCK WE STAND IS JESUS
Prayer point – I declare my stand on the sure foundation in Christ and I will not be moved by storms of life.
