MARCH 28 THURSDAY
SANCTIFIED VESSELS
Main text: 1 Thessalonians 4:4-5 “That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour; not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the gentiles which know not God”.
ISAIAH 9:6 For to us a child is born to us, a son is given and the government shall be upon His shoulder and His name shall be called Wonderful, counselor, mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
To be sanctified is to be set apart especially to the Lord; the focus is on holiness unto the Lord. Vessel is an instrument used for service.
Any individual in the service of the Lord is a vessel. However, there are vessels of honour and vessels of dishonour. Vessels of honour are sanctified vessels. There are vessels that are fit for the master’s use.
For God to use you as a vessel, you must be holy (sanctified) and separated from among others. Sanctification is vitally linked to the salvation experience and is concerned with the moral/spiritual obligations assumed in that experience.
We are set apart to God in conversion, and we are living out that dedication to God in holiness. You too can be a sanctified vessel unto the Lord. It is possible; make yourself available. Pray God to forgive, cleanse and convert you totally. If you are converted, ask God to use you and yield totally to Him.
Invite the Holy Spirit to perfect the work in your life. Live a holy life as stated in 1 Peter 1:15-16, Lev. 11:44, 19:2. Be ye holy; for I am holy.
Decide today to work in holiness and you shall become a sanctified vessel in Jesus name, Amen.
