CHOSEN FOR THE GLORIOUS WORK
MAIN TEXT: Isaiah 43:1-2 But now, this is what the Lord says— he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.
John 15:16 – You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.
Just as God chose Israel out of love and not because of something impressive about the nation, God chooses us out of love. As 1 John 3:1 says, “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!” Why did God choose me? Because of His great love, His lavish love.
You are significant to Him. When you know that someone has been thinking about you and working for your best for a long time, it brings security into your soul. When you realize that your Father God has been this intentional with you, confidence begins to take root within you.
God chose you for your battle. Whatever enemy that is standing before you. God chose you to be the one to bring that scary warrior to their knees – just like David.
AS DAVID WAS DESIGNED AGAINST GOLIATH, SO HAS GOD CHOSEN YOU FOR A UNIQUE PURPOSE
PRAYER: I believe in what God made me to be and I will greatly succeed beyond my abilities in Jesus name. Amen
