DIVINE DIPLOMATS
Main Text: Philippians 3:20 – For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Corinthians 5:20 ‘‘Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us, we implore on Christ’s behalf, he reconciled to God’’
Our inheritance is to have and enjoy favour with God and part of our ministry is to act as Christ Ambassador by drawing others to receive God’s wonderful gift of forgiveness and reconciliation, and to share in His marvelous grace – His unmerited grace of salvation.
God wants to restore every lost souls, so we can act as His Ambassador in the earth. We are therefore to act as missionaries from foreign land. We are pilgrims here and are just passing through (1 Peter 2:11). Through us God makes His appeal to the world to receive His forgiveness, grace and favour.
The bible tells us that not only are we diplomats for Christ but that we are Kings and Priests unto God (Rev 1:6, 1 Peter 2:9). That’s why we need a different attitude towards ourselves and others. Our major responsibility is the ministry of reconciliation. Beloved, how well are you fulfilling this ministry of reconciling people to God?
DIPLOMATS BEHAVE LIKE THE KINGDOM THEY REPRESENT
Prayer: Father God, give me the heart and fortitude to act as your diplomat to all people around me, and to the world in Jesus name
