JESUS STANDS STILL
MAIN TEXT: LUKE 10:49 – And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.
LUKE 10:48 – And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
The sincere prayers for mercy moves God in a manner that we may not fully understand the reason. Blind Bartimaeus prayed with his last hope and requested for divine mercy and help. People discouraged him but he knew what he wanted and pressed on.
His persistent pleas for mercy did not go unanswered. He was face-to-face with the one person in the world that could make him see. Jesus asked him what he wanted, and without hesitation or explanation, the beggar replied that he wanted his sight. His prayer was short, specific, and full of faith.
Today, God is standing still – without distractions until He settles your matter. Jesus Christ left all because He heard a cry for mercy. As you pray today, without minding the heaviness of the challenges – God will come through for you.
DIVINE MERCY IS GOD’S FAVOR TO MAN – IT’S A MYSTERY OF GOD
PRAYER: Jesus Christ, have mercy on me. Turn towards me and answer my heart cry. Let me testify of your divine nature of mercy now
