HIS DEATH GAVE LIFE
MAIN TEXT: Matthew 16: 27 “For the son of man shall come in the glory of his father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works” (KJV)
Matthew 16:24 “Then said Jesus unto His disciples, if any man will come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me” (KJV)
Christ’s death is the evidence of our justification, the cause of our sanctification and pledge of our glorification. It is the hope of our eternal and complete victory and the door of hope that will make you sing and triumph over death. His death gave life to you and me, His wisdom by which we are conducted to heaven, and His redemption by His complete victory.
By His own blood, He entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. He put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.” Is the death of Jesus Christ not the cause of our glorification”? How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
Christ died that “they which live should not live unto themselves, but unto God”. Beloved, if you truly believed that His Death gave life to you, seek Him with all your heart. Have communion with Him through studying the word of God, love Him in the right way if you believe the sufferings of Christ. It is the way to bring your soul under the constraining power of His love.
LIVE A LIFE BY THE FAITH OF THE SON OF GOD, WHO LOVES YOU AND GAVE HIMSELF FOR YOU.
PRAYER: Holy Spirit, help me to walk in loving obedience to you, in Jesus Name.
