SUPERNATURAL FAVOR
Main Text: Genesis 6:8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
Psalm 5:12 For you, O Lord, will bless the righteous with favor, you will surround him as with a shield.
This is being singled out by God for special treatment. Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ, was highly favored to be the mother. The greatest act of God’s favor is that of eternal life by grace. We have been saved, and it is by His grace we can live for the Lord in this dark world. The Lord God is a sun and a shield. The Lord bestows favor and honor. As a child of God, the Lord bless and covers you with favor as a shield.
But for you to enjoy God’s favor, you must love God and do His will, like Joseph in Genesis 39: 4. As Joseph obeyed God, God made him overseer over portiphar’s house and in all that he had. You must also appreciate and love people around you and care for them, like Ruth who found favor with Boaz. You should hate what God hates and stand for what God stands.
God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. Honesty is a key to favor for Joseph found favor with Portiphar because he could be trusted. Telling the truth at all times activates both human and divine favor in your life. God said, “Let not mercy and truth forsake thee, bind them about thy neck, write them upon the table of thy head”.
