MAGNIFY GOD
MAIN TEXT: Psalm 34:3—Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together!
Psalm 136:4—to him who alone does great wonders, for his steadfast love endures forever;
What does it mean to magnify the Lord? It means to make Him bigger than anything else in your perspective. Where you literally get to the point of not being able to see anything else for the overwhelming size and power of your God!
Mary, the mother of Jesus, was a magnifier. When she realized that God had chosen her to give birth to the Messiah, she magnified the Lord. How do we know she did this? She said, “My soul magnifies the Lord” (Luke 1:46). Perhaps you’re familiar with the Latin version of this song, called the Magnificat. This Latin title means “enlarge” and here it refers to Mary’s desire to enlarge the Lord. The Greek word means “to make large” or “to honor highly.”
Indeed, what the Lord has done for us, it’s marvelous and numerous that we must remain grateful to God. When you magnify the Lord in praises, He takes your matter personally – grants you wholesome miracles. Give God so much thanks for the miracles that you are yet to receive and see. Don’t withhold any form of praise to God. He is God and His mercies over our lives endures forever. Praise God this season until that devil falls into a ditch.

PRAYER: Praise the Lord, for you are my redeemer and my shield. O Lord, you’re the lifter of my soul and my champion. You are my satisfaction. Amen
