TRUST GOD WITH YOUR FUTURE
MAIN TEXT: Hebrews 12:2 Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
Maybe you have been troubled and thinking that God won’t keep or provide for you, so you have been worrying. Probably you have been mentally wired in an unhealthy way to succeed because you believe that more money or power will guarantee security and peace, then you are tormented. Do you know the answer? It’s to trust in Christ because there is no true success, security, or peace without Him.
We have the advantage of trusting our Lord for protection, provision, strength, and wisdom—and certainly for the future. Just because it didn’t work out for your parents or friends doesn’t mean it won’t go well with you. You should be rest assured because regardless of what your future holds, God knows all about it, and He is in our future already, that’s the blessing we have.
Don’t plan your life with fortune-telling or the predictions of man—the arms of flesh will fail. Our paths will be threaded with both trouble and peace— even Jesus Christ said that. But here is our assurance: He will go with us. Lean on God, “For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” Habakkuk 2:3.
BANK ON GOD—HE PAYS VERY WELL
PRAYER: My Father, my God, I commit my plans and future into your hands, I trust that you will not disappoint me. Let my life bring unending praises to you in Jesus’ name, Amen.
