GIVE A HELPING HAND

MAIN TEXT: Proverbs 11:25: “Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered.”

Acts 9:36: “Now there was in Joppa a disciple named Tabitha, which, translated, means Dorcas. She was full of good works and acts of charity.”

Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ… Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn… No one should seek their own good, but the good of others.” It is God’s greatest desire for you to love and help one another. Think and plan good for one another. Looking to Jesus Christ, who is the one to reward us.

We must be self-sacrificing like our Savior. He surrendered Himself for us. We should not always satisfy ourselves first, but we ought to use our time, freedom, and resources to love each other. There are times you can discomfort yourself for the comfort of another.

When was the time you fasted and prayed for someone else? During fasting, you can take the food that you missed, and give to the poor and needy. We can purchase good clothes from our savings to give to someone who may not have the resources to give us in return. In this manner, you give rightly and provoke the helping hands of God. Matthew 25:44-45.

DON’T BE WEARY IN DOING GOOD

PRAYER: Lord God, help and teach me to love and care unconditionally. Give me that grace to help without withholding, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
