I’M WALKING INTO GREATNESS
MAIN TEXT: Psalm 37:23-24: “The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand.”
Proverbs 16:9: “We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.”
Sometimes life can feel like you are walking up a mountain of gravel. You take a step, and it seems like you slide back too. Progress is slow, treacherous, and exhausting. And you are not sure if you will ever reach the top of the mountain. The Good news is that God keeps you from falling by making sure you are standing on solid ground.
David made this strong statement, “I have been young, and now am old, yet have I not seen the Righteous forsaken nor His Seed begging for bread.” The God who is keeping you has a divine plan for you and He will see that it comes to pass. Keep walking with Him.
In Psalm 40:2, the psalmist says God has placed his feet on a rock and makes his footsteps firm. God is doing that for you today. While others are sliding backward, or stumbling, God keeps your steps firm and secure. The problems and troubles that kept you down will not prevail over you.
THE PATHS OF THE RIGHTEOUS KEEPS SHINING TILL PERFECT GLORY
PRAYER: O Lord, let my light so shine that it will never go dim in Jesus name. Amen. I possess the gates of my favor and I will not walk into misfortunes.
