RAISE YOUR STANDARD
MAIN TEXT: Jeremiah 35:5-6 Then I set bowls full of wine and some cups before the Rekabites and said to them, “Drink some wine.” But they replied, “We do not drink wine, because our forefather Jehonadab son of Rekab gave us this command: ‘Neither you nor your descendants must ever drink wine.
Luke 14:28 “Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it?”
Do you have those things that you set aside for the sake of your success? Many times we desire the best of things to come to us, but we don’t prepare to have them in our lives. Wishes are good and everyone lives in that realm, but very few actually make it happen. Until we pave the way for the fulfillment of our prayers, we may end up living on “dream—streets”. Proverbs 12:15—The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, But he who heeds counsel is wise.
Life offers no fairness, so instead you must impose fairness on life. Setting good standards is crucial to making good decisions, which is why it’s important to set standards consciously and when you do, don’t take it for granted, regardless of who is involved. Set your standards and stick to them. It will make you more grateful for everything you have.
Health is a limited resource that we should not take for granted on the way to enjoy it. Set standards on the things you consume and how you expose your body to harmful environment. God has given us life to live it well. Set standards for the things that can help your spiritual life, business, relationships, and family. Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
CARELESS LIVING ENDS IN REGRETS
PRAYER: My God, endow me with your wisdom for excellence and grant me the favor to live a purposeful life in Jesus’name, Amen. Open my eyes and understanding, to see what next to do.
