LORD HAVE YOUR WAY
MAIN TEXT: Psalm 86:11–12 Teach me your way, O LORD, that I may walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear your name. I give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart, and I will glorify your name forever.
Psalm 143:10—Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground.”
When our heart is pulled in several directions, we should learn from the prayer of King David, this is a cry of David for his gracious God to answer his plea. He was distressed, and that distress is because people are seeking his life. There is a flood of thoughts, “what if” scenarios—fears that cause worry. But David turns his attention to the God who answers the plea for grace.
There is power, peace, and direction within the teaching of God’s will… You can endure the most trying situation, when you know the will of God. You can go through the most treacherous storms, when you are in the will of God and you can overcome the steepest of mountains, when you are walking in the divine will of God.
Regardless of our condition or circumstance, God is with us. Our situations don’t change God. He is still with us. God is our companion. We cannot do it without God leading the way.
GOD’S WILL IS THE BEST FOR US
PRAYER: Lord God, lead the way so that I will follow you. Let your perfect will prevail in my life in Jesus’ name, Amen.
