SUSTAIN ME, LORD GOD
MAIN TEXT: 1 Kings 17:3-4 “Depart from here and turn eastward and hide yourself by the brook Cherith, which is east of the Jordan. You shall drink from the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there.”
Isaiah 43:2—’When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.’
When your dead-end meets the power of God, it surely opens up to a more glorious path. The Red Sea looked like a trap for the Israelites until God manifested His power, and they knew that it was part of the journey for them. In God’s presence, traps are turned into doors that lead to honor and favor. Yes, you have trusted God and what you are experiencing is so harsh that you don’t have explanation, I encourage you, God will lift you out.
Charles Spurgeon said this, “The Lord will make a way for you where no foot has gone before. That which, like a sea, threatens to drown you will be a highway for your escape.” May God sustain you miraculously in this famine, and your case will be that of Joseph’s in Egypt—God used him to sustain people and nations. God has His plans in matters like this, I pray that you will find your brook and hear God’s instructions too.
Declare this from Don Moen’s song, “By a roadway in the wilderness, He’ll lead me.
And rivers in the desert will I see, Heaven and earth will fade, But His Word will still remain, He will do something new today.” Hold God with this scripture, Psalm 1:3 “He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.”

PRAYER: O Lord, connect me to my divine supply and keep my leaves fresh. I refuse the dryness around, release your water of restoration on my life in Jesus’ name, Amen.
